Life feels easier for some people when they have someone to vent their anger on. It helps them feel relieved, like letting out something they couldn’t hold in. But it’s heartbreaking to think about someone who has lived half their life without forming such a bond. When they feel frustrated, there’s no one close enough to hear them out. Instead, they look at their reflection in the mirror or their shadow and wonder, “Why not take it out on myself?”If they direct their anger at their image or shadow, no one else would get hurt, and nothing would be damaged. But anger is destructive, and instead of letting it go, they let it grow, burning themselves from the inside. One day, they might realize how much they’ve lost to their anger. But by then, it might be too late, with nothing left to save.
